Many v Many to 1v1

Being able to execute in 1 v 1 situations is vital to success, and requires a well honed set of skills by the player in possession. 

But how do you create these 1v1s players crave when a team has numbers back.... 

Let's assume a team's attack is slowed and all defenders have got goal side facing the ball ( sound defensive position), and the ball is moving laterally without much penetration. Once a "cluster" sense the mismatch ( i.e. the player on the ball can and will beat their opponent) , the other players in the cluster should take off at pace towards the black spot,  forcing their defenders to go with them, leaving space behind them for the mismatch to be taken advantage of.

This approach requires good communication, and game sense, but can be very effective.
