Chest To Shoulder

This is very simple coaching cue for taking control in 1-1 defending situations, and "delaying your opponent", before making contact.

Initially, Keep a distance of about 2-3 ft from the attacker ( Close enough to block, but far enough that you are not easily beaten)

Turn your body so it is at an angle with the attacking player, showing them to their weak side.

Position yourself so that your closest pec, is in line with the nearest shoulder of the attacker. Prevents any cut backs.

Channel them weak side, closing the gap as you go, before making contact.
